INTERNATIONAL DAY OF NON-VIOLENCE – 2 OCTOBER 2020 – THE HAGUE – NL

DESCRIPTION
On behalf of Stichting Standbeeld Mahatma Gandhi (‘Gandhi Memorial Foundation’), InTouch is asked to take full responsibility in organizing the celebration of international day of non-violence.

Stichting Standbeeld Mahatma Gandhi’ was established in 1989.

The foundation established the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the center of Amsterdam which was unveiled by then Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Prof. Mr. Ruud Lubbers, on the second of October 1990. The foundation is involved in the promotion of Gandhian ideas and values in the Netherlands.

The target group for this event are, high profile individuals and representatives of institutions and organizations which have a link to peace & liberty for the society; for example: academic institutions, embassies, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Municipality, Political Parties, OPCW, Europol, Red Cross etc.

Due to COVID-19 the whole program took place in an online environment. For that reason the Gandhi Memorial Foundation requested InTouch to design a website and produce the online program. For the technical part, a strong co-operation took place with KPM Global Technology.

125 high profile individuals and representatives of institutions and organizations which have a link to peace & liberty for the society; for example: academic institutions, embassies, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Municipality, Political Parties, OPCW, Europol, Red Cross etc. For this year over 400 people participated in the program. The program is screened over 5000 times.
