The 10th Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference 2017 & CODATU XVII Conference will be organized by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India in partnership with Government of Telangana at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) from 4th to 6th November, 2017.

The Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference and Expo is an annual event with the overarching theme which runs across all the aspects of urban mobility and is organized by the Institute of Urban Transport (India) under the aegis of Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India. The Conference seeks to create awareness of best practises through presentations by leading practitioners around the world, panel discussions, networking events as well as an associated exhibition.

The genesis of UMI is from the National Urban Transport Policy of the Government of India, 2006 (NUTP), which lays a very strong emphasis on building capabilities at the State and city level to address the problems associated with urban transport and undertake the task of developing sustainable urban transport systems. The event essentially has three components; Conference, Research Symposium and Exhibition.
Till date nine editions of the event have been held successfully. This year’s UMI will be held jointly with CODATU, a French organization which promotes sustainable urban mobility in the developing world. The theme of the 3-day conference is “Intelligent, Inclusive and Sustainable Mobility”.

The event will be organized by the Institute of Urban Transport (India).
